An initial Visual Identity has been created to outline how exactly ‘Lights Out’ differentiates itself from existing motorsport-related products in the market. It will act as a launching point for establishing the Brand Identity which will be adhered to whilst creating promotional material.
This has been tailored to best represent what the game stands for the target market of motorsport fans and board game enthusiasts alike.
The goal is to have the potential buyers proud to display this box on their shelves amongst their collection of acclaimed pre-existing board games.
Colour Palette
The colour palette for the base version of ‘Lights Out’ has been configured to best come across on screen and print. By choosing such a jarring red (#db0808) as a primary colour on-the-box art and as an accent within game literature it represents power and passion. Two core emotions intended for the player to experience amid a highly competitive season of open-seat racing.
Typography
Each font family chosen has a varying intent in its application in-game. It plays an influential role in implying a mood and setting a tone from a single glance. These prioritise function and readability whilst simultaneously remaining stylish.
